The Angled Platform Bed:

One of my personal favourite pieces and each time I build one I really enjoy the process of bringing the final product into existence. A clean, modern, stylish bed frame made from a high-quality furniture grade plywood with a silky-smooth finish.

The design concept was inspired by Allan Little out of Austin, Texas at https://vsctools.com/about/ though I have adapted and modified this to suit my own requirements and production processes.

While ironing out the finer details on my version of this design I was guided by my two principle factors….It must look great AND…..It must be fit for purpose.

It is designed in such a way that the whole inner and outer frame interlocks with itself making the unit very strong and solid indeed. And though a bed is generally set in a fixed position long term, due to the specific fixing method of this design, it can be assembled, disassembled, moved and reassembled time and again if you so require without compromising the strength of the joints.

While researching bed designs I cant really find anything of this style available in retail outlets which makes it somewhat unique. So if you love this design as much as I do, or if you have any further inquiries, I love to hear from you.
